Paul J. Mocarski is a proven leader and strategist with experience building and leading effective information technology and security programs at Fortune 1000 companies. He currently serves as the Director of Global Information Security at Valspar and was previously employed at Sherwin-Williams where he also led the global information security practice. Paul has over 25 years of experience in a variety of roles and disciplines. During that time, he has built and led departments responsible for cybersecurity, disaster recovery, software change management, software quality assurance, and Internet systems engineering.

In addition to employment in the civilian sector, Paul is a Colonel in the Army National Guard with 29 years of service. He is currently assigned as the Deputy United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USPFO) for the Ohio National Guard. In this role, he serves on the Adjutant General’s Joint Staff as the advisor on fiscal policy and budgeting in support of domestic operations. Paul is a recipient of two Bronze Star Medals, two Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals, and three Ohio Commendation Medals.
Paul is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and earned a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Cleveland State University. A life-long learner, he has also completed a Master of Strategic Studies degree at the U.S. Army War College and an MBA from the American Military University. He holds over 25 industry standard certifications which include the CISSP, CRISC, and ITIL V3 Foundations certifications.
